Default Mediterranean Water Mod

I remember a couple months back seeing a Med. water mod that made the Med. sea a lighter greenish/blueish. I tried a search but couldn't find it. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about and/or could you point me in the right direction to the download? Also, does it work with GW 1.1? Thanks .

Hu,

I may have the mod you are looking for. It has arctic, atlantic, and med ocean colors. If this is what you are looking for I would be happy to send it to you via email. Just let me know.

Thanks,

Doc

No mate, that's ok I found it: Markhimov's Ocean Madness. I just have one question. JScones said something about including it in his next SH3 Cmdr release... This was back in '05. I would like to know if he actually has included it, before I download Ocean Madness.

I think he did...I never go to the Med. but at one time I did and the water did make the change to the real light blue color.

Yes and no.

You may have noticed that although SH3 uses the correct Mediterranean water textures for Med-based single missions, it uses the Atlantic water textures for Med-based careers. It doesn't matter what pretty Med water textures you install, you'll always get the Atlantic ones when careering in the Med.

Not surprisingly, however, SH3Cmdr includes a fix which forces the correct Med water textures when in a career based in the Med (and this includes the GWX-added 23 Flotilla). What this means is that with no other water textures installed, you'll get the stock SH3 Med textures (an improvement in itself).

You'll still need to install other mods to change the water textures themselves, but at least SH3Cmdr has made it possible to see them when in a Med career.
