Default Crashes during loading... even after re-install

Hello fellow subbers!

Some time ago I installed greywolves 1.1 and could play the game for a very long time without any problems. But suddenly it started crashing in the middle of a mission and I haven't been playing the game a long time out of frustration.

Two days ago I started again and was able to do one whole mission but after this single patrol the game crashed a few times in the mission-loading-screen (after a few seconds of 'Not so long ago....') and even worse... the game starts crashing now during the loading of the menu.

Ive rolledback SH3-commander, Ive uninstalled SH3 and installed it again... and again and again and again... but it just keeps on crashing during the menu-load with the following message:

There is a new (not implemented) page: <Page Ingame Options> !

and when I click OK on this message it gives a Warning screen saying:

"Warning" Menu ID not found: 0x000008 !
after which the game crashes and I get the possibility to send Microsoft an error-message.

Help! can I ever play this game again without formatting my whole computer?
Ive tried re-installing the game but it keeps on saying these messages...

I have absolutely no idea, but those are some fantastic photos on your website...especially the crew!

Did you delete the folder in my docs when you uninstalled?
Save your career first if you want to

I had the same problem, which caused me to get my own computer. It turns out that there was a conflict problem with my Nokia PC software. I removed it, reinstalled SHIII and mod's and she works fine now

If you cant uninstall
Delete the SH3 folder in my documents
Put your DVD in and click install from menu
Then click repair

If all installs ok patch to 1.4b and away you go

Usually these kinds of errors which appear suddenly and follow you around after uninstall involve something which isn't removed by an uninstall. After you uninstall you ought to clean the registry and remove any extraneous folders leftover. There are some good progs that can wipe out files that aren't useful. Also look at the order that you are installing things in. This problem was one I was having when I first installed SH3 with Grey Wolves. I can't recall how I fixed it but I think it involved how I installed mods.

It's the Game, then the patch (1.4b), then the mod then SH3 cmndr. However you said that it worked fine for a while. This would suggest something new on your computer altered something of how the game interacts with windows. So recall when the problems started and what new progs you had installed or if you had changed any major settings.

That's the best I can give you.

Cheers mate.
