Default Searching for blueprints

Moin,

now that i have finalized my small cutter, I´m searching for a new project. Therefore I´m searching for blueprints. I couldn´t find any f.o.c. on the net.
I´m especially interested in
  • pilot boats
  • motor boats
  • sailing yachts
Can someone tell where to get some?

Regards,
DivingDuck

I searched relatively hard for some blueprints... I didn't find any, but I did find a good pic of a schooner: http://www.namibian.org/travel/adventure/schooner.html. Most schooners are 105 ft long overall with an 80 foot deck, aprox. 20 foot beam, and 7.5 foot draft. I'm not sure about sail area, but when I find out I'll post it here. Of course, all these lengths will have to be changed into Meters for SH3.

As for relevance to WWII and U-boats, to the best of my knowledge schooners were used for trade in the Caribbean and for fishing off of Nova Scotia. Many schooners were sunk in the Caribbean by Uboats during the war.

Good luck .

Thanks for the efforts, but the pic is way too small. I need at least a side and a top view. Otherwise I can´t create a usable 3d shape.

  • pilot boats
  • motor boats
  • sailing yachts

I'll be your sailing yacht man . I'll do the research as to which sailing vessels were most common during that time and I'll try my damnedest to find you good photos, blueprints, etc.

AHA! This is perfect. The Kriegsmarine used gaff-rigged barques as training vessels during the war! This would be great to see in ports and near the German coast. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_...Leo_Schlageter

I hope some of those pics are good enough.

If that isn't what you're looking for, I'll continue my research.

Also, here is some proof that tall-ships were used by the US for trade in the Caribbean: http://uboat.net/allies/merchants/1831.html

Seems that you´re keen on getting some sailing vessels into the game, right? The ship is really nice. But I´m sorry to tell you again that I need more details. But I can soothe you. I´ve got a link in the German forum that could turn out to be a real vein of gold. If you´re interested you can check out: http://www.the-blueprints.com/index....eprints/ships/
Choose your favorite and tell me.

Wow, that's really generous of you to let me choose a ship . If it's too much trouble for you, don't worry about it, but it seems as if you enjoy building these ships, so I'll look at these blueprints and let you know. Just let me know if it's too much work or anything.

I just found a thread with screenshots of sailboats in the upcoming GWX, so I can wait for that if you'd rather not build a new ship.

HMS Class YMS II 1943 (Coastal Minesweeper
