Default Drunk planesman fixed ?

Last time I stopped playing DW there was this patch after which sub started to make strange pitch excursions during depth changes. Is this fixed ?

You mean that they dip the bow although the sub is going to surface? No, that's still the same.

I love how proffesionaly this game is made. I hate how in some points it is not.

On the other hand some real progress has been made with turn rates so 'angles and dangles' actually means something now.

Hard core bubbleheads may not have got everything they want yet but Luftwolf and Amizaurs work has achieved much to keep
the 'flame' of interest burning. One has to hope that SCS 'delays' wont allow it to flicker out !

Perhaps SCS are less concerned to continue to woo a small market sector group when the cash tills are soundly ringing from government
sponsored contracts and the new, possibly easier to please, 'general interest' players ?

Addressing the pitch control/buoyancy issues has been on the patch agenda, but the work is more or less stalled. Jamie explains the current situation here: http://scs.sonalystsgames.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=720

The "oscillating" depth changes have been addressed already and will be in the v1.04 patch pending BETA testing. As for when that will be, I'm not sure.

Just to be clear though, the depth oscillations and pitch excursions are two differnent problems. For all I know, they're being caused by the same underlying bug, though.
