Default Still no Starforce removal SHIII patch?

I was hoping that after Ubi dumped Starforce that they would have released a no-SF patch for SHIII. I looked around the Ubi site and through the SHIII FAQ here, but no sign of one. I'm just posting to ask, before I give up on reinstalling and just wait on SHIV. I'd love to play SHIII again, but SF and my computer don't get along.

I don't think it's actually possible for Ubi to do that, they probably did have an agreement with Starforce to SHIII. If they really wanted to do it, they might have, but to be honest - I doubt it will happen.

Besides, I doubt Ubi wants to have NO copy protection, whether or not they dumped starforce. And since Starforce is the only protection in SHIII, I doubt they'd be keen to remove it.

In other words, the only Starforce removals for SHIII are, *ahem*

Well, guess I'll have to see if I can hold out until SHIV gets here, or perhaps I will succumb eventually.

*ahem*

[post self-edited - perhaps too suggestive of another alternative which probably shouldn't be subsim-endorsed]

Right. Wasn't gonna mention that solution here either.
