Default Periscope depth not working

Driving my new XXI class hunter I ordered it to go down to periscope depth, but it wont go under 10 meter and the tower is clearly above water. Then when ordering 13, 14, or 15 meters nothing happens.

Whats the matter when the system does this kind of bugging and dont react to my new orders. Only giving a "crash dive" orders it goes deeper.

go to sh3/data/submarines/(whatever sub your using egXX!)/CFG file...and change the periscope and snorkel depths

that should do the trick

Default changed the .cfg file

It reads that the periscope depth is 15.5 meters for XXI boat.
I changed that to 15 and took away that .5
Now all works just fine.

I really don't know why thishappens...but the XXI has a clear tendency to be unstable, especially at low speeds. It also has a tendency to dive deeper than ordered....

Maybe because it was a prototype and not all the kinks were worked out? Furthermore, the quality of construction in Germany was pretty low by the end of 44. Not sure if I'm expecting too much from the sim but hey.
