Paused game

So I just lost a career, every time I load a game even a new career it loads paused. Ever savegame loads paused. I searched and found a post explaining how to fix this but it doesn't seem to work for me. So what causes this? I was playing last night & then saved & to quit, I did not think I was paused when I saved. Load today and it loads paused, can't do jack Seems I need to redownload GW and reinstall since new careers load paused as well.

again what causes this , I want to make dang sure I don't do it again!

Not sure if its the one you tried
I has something similar myself a while back and pretty sure it was the main.cfg in SH3\my documents that was the problem
I reinstalled the game to cure mine - saving my career first - but didnt know of the fix in that link then

thanks! that's not the fix I tried but will and make note of it for future reference.
