What does eveyone do with their depth settings on the torpedos. I got a few messages about magnetic and depth settings in game. Pretty much setting depth to zero and impact only. I am using grey wolves mod BTW. I have almost no luck with impact pistols no matter what angle I hit it. I usually just set depth a little under keel and use magnetics. Sometimes they work, some times they don't. Yesterday I fired two and one exploded on the way to target, the other hit and exploded just fine. I then surfaced and used deck gun.

Running 2 m under depth set and exploding prem due to bad weather and even IIRC the magnetics in the baltic waters causing problems You should have no problem with impact pistols though - as long as your not hitting too low on the curve of the hull or at too bad an impact angle I usually set my impacts between 3 and 5 m depending on the ship DD need 2m Keel shots are great as long as the weather is calm |

I always go for keel shots regardless of the weather. Just compensate for waves. Calm waters - 1.5m below draft Rough seas 0.5 below draft, seems to work for me.
