The Bow wave sound

Can anybody tell me which sound is the sound of the waves crashing into your bow or vice versa---it sounds when your bow crashes into the sea creating white foam and spray---I used to be able to hear it and now it never sounds.....maybe my sound.dsl should be replaced?? I was going to try to turn up the volume on that sound or investigate. Has anyone else lost sounds and figured out how to reactivate them, especially this bow wave crashing sound?
