Default Mod help/tip ...

I stoped playing SH3 for a long time but now Im back infront of the comp again biting my nails -.-
I have checked out some of the great collection mods out there and Im having a hard time to decide with one to use... The Grey Wolves, RuB and NYGM are the once I have looked at, the question is with one should I use?

Or can I combine em all for a super SH3... with would be awsome
Thanks for all, btw Hi everybody at subsim

NYGM is mostly realism only, while Grey Wolves is some realism mixed in with some eye candy. RuB i'm not sure about though. If you have a weaker computer it would handle NYGM better then Grey Wolves. Both NYGM and Grey Wolves are working on their next release so it may be smart to just lay back and wait till the new ones are released. Unfortunatly you cannot combine the two but you can do a duel install of SH3 and have one Grey Wolves and one NYGM. I'm personally a NYGM user and i love it. I couldn't be happier. Try both out and choose which one you prefer

I don'f know about NYGM (haven't tried it), but Grey Wolves also has some cool sound efx. I jumped in my seat the first time I heard the deck gun fire and the crash dive is worth getting a destroyer's attention just to hear! :p

Okay mate heres something you've missed also. There are about 5 dozen of these threads made by gents much like yourself who have missed the big releases. The advice you can draw from all of them is A) dont ask people to tell you which is better cause it half the time ends with a locked thread and a very pissed of Neal, and B) try them both to get a feel for your style and how each mod complements it.

GW seeks to immerse you in the life of a U-boat kaleun by making graphical changes, changing the way damage is handed out, creating very active traffic in the harbors, and making everything look alot cooler as well. There are a number of options in it's auto-installer which make the experience how you like it.

NYGM is a mod which seeks to recreate the experince based on largely hardcore realism. This means that the way a ship sinks and the way DDs behave and the way you as a captain must behave is as close to the real thing as possible.

However there is alot of crossover in these two mods. The NYGM damage model for torpedoes is used in GW and NYGM has harbor traffic too only it's noticeably subdued compared to GW. The subtlties, which many will attest to, make all the difference and the only real way to know which is better for YOU is to try them both for yourself. What makes your experience more fun and immersive.

Dont ask which is better. You'll only start an avalanche. Hope I helped.
