Default Skin compatibelity

I noticed that there are many awesome skins available for download in here, but does it have any effect on NYGM tonnage war if I substitute for example the type VIIC skin? I tried downloading one of Fubars type VIIC skins and every time I use a type VIIC in a mission, the computer stops loading the game and nothing more happens

:hmm: I could need some help here, strange things are happening. After having had a look at the files I downloaded I discovered that something must be missing according to the size. For example, I downloaded one of Fubar's type VIIC skins, 21 mb in size, but the file only contains a 4 mb big TGA file after the download. Maybe Fubar is watching this and know what files there are supposed to be there?

Hi Werewolf

sorry about your problem with the file, try downloading it again as there must be something wrong with your file.

Hello Fubar

Thank you very much for answering. Yes it was a problem with my unzip program, after switching to another all the other files appeared.....strange, it has never happened before :hmm:

Well since you are here, could you give me a short course on this skin thing: First of all does any of your skins interfere with NYGM? I mean make the game crash etc. Secondly what files are needed, I noticed that some skin updates only have TGA files while other have .Dat files too under the object folder.

Sorry if my language is confusing you know how it is when you want to know all at once and cannot explain it

Hi again werewolf

alot of large game mods use a number of DAT files so If you have down loaded
one of my type VII skins which has DAT files in it I would down load the chessmaster dat extracter found here ftp://ftp.ubi.com/us/games/chessmast...TexExtract.zip
and extract all the tga files form the DAT files in my skin and place all of the following files into silenthunter/data/textures/TNormal/tex folder

conning stuff
NSS Uboat7c hull
UFlak High
mask typ7
Turm7c 1 deck
Turm7c 2 deck
Turm7c 3 deck
NSS Uboat7c conning
NSS Uboat7c deck

this way you should have no problems
hope this helps

Fubar, are you skins compatible with the periscope mod (which lowers the periscopes to correct level) ?. When unzipping that mod I realised it's got some files shared by your skins as well.

I've got your skin pack installed, it's AWESOME. Thank you !

Do you have any camo skins or other skins for Type VII, IX & XXI ?

HI shahed

If the periscope mod use's DAT files you will need to extact the tga files from my skin Dat files and place them inside the periscope mods DAT files use the chessmaster extact tool thats at the link above.

I have done a number of camo skins check this link sub skins
you may need to read through the link to find where to get the skins.

I have also got some more skins comming out soon.
