Update your video card driver.

By the way, we now have six (!!!) threads that were named either "Help", "Please help" or "Need help" on page one of this forum. Guys, please use a descriptive thread title!

Your drivers or DX version must be the culprit.I have a 6600 myself (GT however) and the game runs fine.

Same here, 6600 GT and no problems. (besides the fact that I really want a faster card)

Post systems specs!!!
For more info.

I had the same graphics card however I had the same issues. Check your system see what you are running.

Your graphics card may not be the problem
Check sound card
Check USB adapters

Also it seems odd but your grpahics card may require a new PSU. Power Supply check your ratings on your power supply. It may be plenty of WATTS but what about AMPS on the 12v side.

The new graphics card require more amps. I found this out with the same card. I returned it and bought a new one, same thing again. Then checked forums and found that it needed to have more amps then the power supply could put out.

Also remember this
My video card requires 18Amp on 12Volt rail mine is 7800 OC AGP 4/8x (Its huge)
The power supply for your computer runs EVERYTHING so it will take away from the power needed for the video card.

This will cause the game to run slow or lock up when it needs to push graphics to the max. If you have have extra fans, lights, controllers, hard drives, cd, dvd drives, modems etc you can see where all your power goes.

If you find it IS the power supply make sure you get one the FAR exceeds the requirments for the video card pay attention to the AMPS on the 12v Rail. If possible get on with 2 rails. This way one can be dedicated to JUST the video card.

Since my upgrade i dont have the problems anymore.

Post system specs, when you can, we will see if we can help you out
Good luck

I agree with Gizzmoe. I don't know about everyone else, but I am going to completely ignore future "Help" titled topics in the future. They become an eye-sore mixed in with the properly titled topics. From what I've seen, people here are willing to help those that need it, but you will get more help by being descriptive with your title for your thread(s).
