I just put a torpedo into a tramp steamer and surfaced to finisher her off with the gun. I'm 1000m on her port side putting shell after shell into her when all of a sudden it starts to rain and visibility drops to like 300m, I could just barely see her because she was on fire. She finally did sink!
It was like really strange because to the front of the boat it was still fairly clear but to the starboard side there was minimum visibity. It was like being right on the edge of a storm front. This is the first time in one year of playing SH3 that this has ever happened to me. I recently changed the campaign files (campaign.rnd, campaing.scr & campaign.lnd) to reflect that weather modification some others have recently posted about. And it was mentioned that you could be right in the middle of an attack and the weather could drastically change. Very realistic! |

I had something similar to that happen to me once. I was stalking a convoy while submerged and I raised the periscope to check their position. It was perfectly clear and sunny outside. Then a half hour later, I raised it again and couldn't see a thing thanks to the weather.
