I want to have 256MB DX9 support, in a slim card, for under or about 250 euros. Can anyone suggest me anything?
Theres the Xseries, FireGL, and 9800pros, but I wonder what's best of it all? I run 9500PRO right now and its not up to my latest gaming.. not up for a while. ![]() I need a slim card because I have a mini shuttle system and those dont fit the huge cards with huge coolers... 9500Pro fits only just. So yuo know the size I want. if other card makers do anything compatible... let me know. I want to run games like Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion, FEAR, and the likes. ![]() My current choices are the ATI Radeon X800XL - 256 Mo TV-Out/DVI - PCI Express ATI All-In-Wonder X800GT 128 Mo PCI-Express SAPPHIRE TECHNOLOGY Radeon X1300 256 MB PCI Express (THIS ONE IS CHEAP!??) GeForce 6800 XT 128 Mb PCI Express GeForce 6800GS 256Mb PCI Express GeForce 6800 XTreme XT 256 Mb AGP (what's PCI and AGP? - slot? I have an older PC - 2003, so I need AGP probably, eh?) ATI is blowing out x1900 all and wonders for $249 US right now. THat would be like $220 euro.
http://shop.ati.com/ THey are normal $349 and I think they are single slot. Last edited by SUBMAN1; 08-24-06 at 04:07 PM. |

Hehe, the x1900 looks almost identical compared to my GF7800GTX. Dang it´s a big card, took me half an hour to fit it in to my PC.

This reviewer has hit it on the nose for size.
-S Nice card, see review below Pros: Excellent card, and works great with windows media center 2005, see reviews below Cons: to answer the size question, the length is about the exact same as the width of a standard atx MB Other Thoughts: love this card |

Yes they did...except that their suggestion is useless because it requires PCI-E, which you don't have. The best you can do is either an X800 series, or a 7900GS AGP, because with a 9500 Pro, you have an AGP slot, not PCI-E.
