Just a couple of questions. I am doing my very first patrol in SH3 using the excellent tonnage war mod and trying to do everything the hard realistic way. i have been assigned a patrol area just off the Norwegian coast. Should I be attacking Norwegian merchants as they are not mentioned as neutral ships in the message reports. This is Sept 39 and I think Norway was invaded in the following year.
Secondly I have read somewhere here that you can get bearing and range reports from the watch officer to calculate the speed of the target. I can only get bearing but no range. I have read that the stadimeter is not that accurate. Any help much appreciated ![]() |

Hit F1 to and select the Misc info section where the dates of when neutrals become enemies is stated. If I remember rightly Norway is still not enemy until the german invasion in 1940.
You can get a written not verbal range off the Wacht Offizer when you ask for him for the nearest visual. Doesn't work on far ships in convoys only on the nearest ship in relation to you. |

No problem Stringy. The range report should show in the message window at the bottom centre of screen when you hit the Nearest Visual Contact button for the Wacht Offizer.
