Default Long &Lat ?

Hi, I'm using Grey Wolves and after getting my backside kicked over sinking a neutral ship, I'm now receiving Radio messages giving me Longtitude and Latitude figures instead of Grid Referennces like AM11. Could somebody let me know how to access these figures please.

Is that a Grey Wolves bug giving Longtitude and Latitude figures instead of Grid Referennces, or an intensional mod change?

They are just messages to make you feel you are not alone and other Uboats out there sinking stuff
The Kreigsmarine grid system doesnt cover the whole globe either so if you are in areas where there is no grid then Lat\Long have to be used to fix positions
Try sinking a ship of the northern coast of Russia\Norway and watch what you get where grid ref normally is

Hardly a bug either way

@Vonklausevitz:

ref my orig post above, look at the 2nd ref I submitted for your edification...

Pay particular attention to the chart for the "Waters around England", as an example:

You will note that these are real charts and the hacture marks, (the alternating white/black indices around the peripheral of the chart are actual Latitude/Longitudes in degrees.) They're not just for decoration. Its a simple matter of nautical skill to find Lat/Long along the margins of the charts.

Furthermore, these same hacture marks are also located around the F5 screen chart of SH3, in case anyone ever noticed...although, you'll have to think a little to discover how to use them...hint...your base of operations is listed in Lat/Long at the beginning of each patrol and mission. The prime meridian is indicated by a BLUE vertical at 000°E/W and a red horizon, aka, Equator is indicated also...its boils down to a simple matter of counting the hacture marks to locate lat/long on the F5 screen.

Latitude = east/west sides of the chart <---This is where mariners measure DISTANCE in Nautical Miles.
Longitude = north/south sides.

cheers,

cheers,
Tnx to point that out, I never noticed those black&white marks..anyway, that converter is more "user-friendly" and faster to use while in game.
I'm a member of http://www.wolvesatwar.org/ and the comunication while on patrol need to be easy and quick.And that converter fulfill that need!
Tnx anyway!
