Default Foxer or Smoke

Is there any way to make a SHIII mod etc. that make the DD`s / battleships use smokescreens or foxer?

Link to foxer/smoke:

I'm not sure. But wouldn't be kind of a pointless mod for this game? I mean this only because there were like fewer than a half dozen significant encounters between the Kriegsmarine and the Royal Navy and it isn't likely that you'll ever witness any of them which is a shame. THough don't let me put a damper on you.

With all due respect, I think you're much better off suggesting this for Silent Hunter IV.

The Foxers would be nice, actually, what with homing torpedoes being in the game, after all. Destroyers are way too easy kills once you get your hands on a Falke or two.

Wouldn't it be better to suggest it for SHV, as SHIV is the pacific. To the best of my knowledge japan didn't use foxers. America may have used homing torps, I think is was called nixie, it was half the size of a regular torp, slower (around 24 knts) as was ment to be used on attacking escorts.

I think there were some fired but I don't know what the success rate was. The was an air droped version that was used. It was refered to as a Mark 24 air drop mine for security reasons.

Default Foxer/smoke

Thanx for the answers, mates! i hope Foxer (or something similar) is implemented in SHIV;
i agree, safe-keeper: homing torps make it just too easy to kill destroyers..
Maybe Smoke screens could be possible, unless you kill the fps by enabling them... When Tirpitz laid in the norwegian fjord "Kåfjord" outside Alta, she was surrounded by smoke enabling devices mounted on shore and on a nearby hill:

Anyway, thanx again for your time & answers!
