Default Electric engines when the boat on surface?

Is this possible in some way in SH3, with some mod or something like that? In "Iron Coffins" u-boats used the electric engines when on surface and try to avoid activating the acoustic bombs. Any ideas?

can't run on Electic engines on the surface. There maybe a way to edit it in the game, but to my knowlege I don't remember anyone saying it was possible. Maybe one of the great modders may know??

Those acoustic bombs aren't modelled in this sim. You won't gain any advantage as you'll be spotted running on the surface far sooner than you'll be heard.

Yes, but the Type XI is faster with electrics.
