Not realy looks quite far out to me, so it would be deep enough there, however in the area or near the area where the typhoons are kept ive never ever once seen A a beach or B weather warm enough to swim in. (hint if you try ice swiming dont stay in for too long and when you get out roll in the snow !)
So this is most likely photo shop work infact id say dead cert.

Is that picture real? As not many people are looking at that sub or it could be a every day scene.

"Captain on the bridge!"
"Thank you Dimitri. Look at them Ukranians. Sergei I think it's enough by now, stop the 'accidental' leaking of radioactive waste, I want to be able to step on this beach again in less than 65 years." ... "Just a few more meters now" - says the guy on the left with the cool shorts. "Keep going, yes keep going, it will detonate any time now, got the bay loaded with mines, better hold my pants together."

I first saw this in MosNews. Thing is it could conceivably be a real picture.
I know Murmansk is way north but in the Summer time I wouldn't be surprised if it got warm enough. Depends where the beach was. There could be beaches there. Regardless though it is a bloody good picture. |

The only thing that far north on the kola peninsular where these submarines are based are mountains and even in winter its not warm enought to look anything remotly like that.
The amount of times ive been there ive yet to see a beech or indeed hot weather (mind you most my trips were in september)

Like Type941, my first sights of a boat were when I lived in Helensburgh (Scotland) as a kid in the 70's. I used to see boats like Dreadnought or the Resolution bombers going in and out of Faslane through the Rhu narrows which are only a few hundred yards wide.
