I need help in getting in or out the English Channel, I have to go all the way around the channel to avoid the mine fields. I got thru it once but on the way back I hit a mine..Can someone please help me?

Hmmmm 2nd thread
I use a program called SH3Gen by Global Explorer whch will place mine locations on your Navmap so you can avoid them Otherwise go round as most uboats had to after late 39 Apart from the mines you have heavy ASW and very shallow depths - get caught by a DD in there and its a toughie to get away |

I forget all the exact stats but I know that the Channel was a death trap for U-boats. So many were sunk just trying to get through. I might have read that no U-boat that ever entered the Mediterreanean via the Channel ever returned in WW2 but that might be wrong.
