? on creating message_en

When making or altering a new message_ en log--is it as simple as?
1.)opening a new text doc
2.)writng text as the same style & format as existing game text
3.)copy and paste into existing text to alter/ or trade out text doc for new

or is there codes and lines to also change in the menue file,etc?
just trying to experiment and learn to make my own tweaks to my game--(im not to computer literate)

Well your plan of attack has worked for me in the past

Make a back up as always of your original doc just in case

thanks bigboywolly for the quick reply and answer--gonna try to write one tommorrow--i just wanted to make sure i would not screw up anything else on the install besides the doc(will back that up)
