Default Early war night surface engagements - would you like?

try the following on your sim.cfg. Sure needs some finetuning but works quite well...

Quote:
deleted cause lack of quality
Just about beeing detected...range ~1000 meter, torpedos already running!
I´m using stock aisensors.dat, only change i made there is increasing the visual range, cause i´m using 16km visibility...

Thanks, CB!

hardest thing is to keep the scope beeing detectable by enemy visual.
and of course the SH3 loading times...

Here´s my current sim.cfg, a field of wip and messed up values lol

OK - Total revamp :p
Quote:
[Visual]
Detection time=3 ;[s] min detection time.
Sensitivity=0.01 ;(0..1) at (sensitivity * max range) we have a double detection time.
Fog factor=0.3 ;[>=0]
Light factor=15.0 ;[>=0]
Waves factor=1.0 ;[>=0]
Enemy surface factor=1.5 ;[m2]
Enemy speed factor=0 ;[kt]
works much better, problem with non spottet scope is solved

Nice Gammel, I just finished switching from a NYGM 2.0 base to GW 1.1a with AIFight2 mod also This will definately help get me jump started as sim.cfg was what I was working on just before I switched.

I figured that if NYGM DD's and rowboats were on or off, I could get better results by other means on a more standard base and have less of a black box, and so far it is very promising submerged, no surface action yet. Sub damage is more balanced in just a short time, and long repairs are working nicely with it after very little tweaking.

All in all I am really happy with how things are going so far - gonna do a shakedown patrol next.

CB, you are definately on the list of people I would like to share my annual beer with. Cheers

Cheers CB!
I love to play around esp with that sim.cfg file.
You have such great options here to control and the whole Ai behavior
- even the solution for the too easily spotted snorkel by late war airplane radar is in here...

Anyone else tried the new posted settings?

On first posted settings i´d make a terrible mistake with the speed factor value.
It´s enemy speed factor, means the players sub!!!

I like the idea setting it to zero or one knot, so the faster you get (and the lonker your scope wake will be)
the higher would the possible detecton propability of enemy lookouts or pilots spotting you scope wake...(in my wild theory)

Anyone here like to try and give some feedback? C´mon it´s only a small copy and paste job to add it to your sim.cfg.
Please make backup first :p

Loading times of the game are horrible, so testing new settings is a very time intensive procedure.

Greetings to all here,
may the best team win (it´s football today!!) lol

I´ll change <= Edit: Ooops /\
Game is called soccer i found out |
