1. how do I go to debug mode ?

2. what do i need to read the databases ?

If by debug mode you mean the switch that makes game to generate debug output that can be monitored with DbgView program - just run the game exe with -debugoutput switch at the end.

To read databases you need one of two available database editors - standalone DWEdit by Ludger or DWDBEdit - MS Acces based db editor made by jsteed. The second is though to be better but don't work for me, calls for mising libraries or files, wrong version of Acces or something... The first works great, this is what we use for modding.

I think I remember learning how to use it on the CADC website, but that's currently down, for a while....

ok - ive googled DbgViewer but only seem to locate threads that say "try it out" as opposed to any link for a download.

Once i locate this DL, install it, and run it in background ,
i have to rename the exe to DangerousWaters.exe-debugoutput ?
THEN keyboard toggle ( shift + ` ) listed in player controls WILL work ?


I have had the steed dwdb thing for awhile but when i click on it an ms dos box pops up and then immediately closes and nothing else happens.
i will try ludgers.
