SH3 Commander Questions ??

First off, I love SH3 Commander great addition to SH3 and NYGM adds so much to the game.

2nd, I am a nerd and I keep my own logs during patrols, I add character details and a few things to spice up the "boring" times.

3rd, I know SH3 Commander creates a log the Log_0 file, so here is my question can I add or edit that file ??, would it allow the addition of my text without any problems, can I enter in to the log during mid patrol or only while stationed ??

2nd Question:

Why do you get more medals and badges in SH3 Commander than you get in the actual game ?? and is there a guidline as to who should get what and when.

Sorry if these have benn asked before if there is any guides to SH3 Commander I would love to read them.

I believe the patrol_0 log file is created by SHIII if you refer to the one in C:\Documents and Settings\*your name*\My Documents\SH3\data\cfg\Careers

I know the correct location for the file in question, what I need to know is can I edit it safely.

What I meant was its NOT created by SH3 commander but by the game itself
Make a back up copy and try it

I think it's safest to edit while in port. I have changed the names of ships sunk to match the proper nations, especially Polish vessels; so I know you can do at least that much safely.
