Sabotage?

Recently, I had my starboard diesel engine on my Type IXC destroyed by an American destroyer in the Caribbean. I managed to limp home to Lorient, and it was repaired for the next patrol. Due to my computer crashing, however, I had to start the next patrol again, and as the game initialises, my chief engineer reports that my starboard diesel engine has been destroyed. It has happened every time since, no matter how long I spend in port between patrols (modified using SH3 Commander latest build).
At first I assumed that this was "sabotage", but I don't think that this is modeled in the basic 1.4 build, and no amount of loading and reloading had rectified it. I've been going ahead with patrols anyway, and I haven't noticed any drop in my boats performance (still achieving maximum speed of 21kts surfaced in good weather). I'm not, at the moment, running any major mods, just extra skins and harbour traffic and so on, though I will be installing The Grey Wolves when this patrol finishes.
So, can I fix this, and how, if so, how?

That would be a glitch. It happens to me too in my IXC/40, U-193.

Thank you, kamerad. At least I now know that it's not just me! And it hasn't affected my gameplay, so I'll live with it!

JScones,SHIII Commander,has a bandage fix for that glitch.Try a search for starboard diesel thread
