Escort Carriers

If you are in mid-Atlantic and sink a convoy's escort carrier, do air attacks cease 24 hours later?

Depends what year your in,and if your in range of long range landbased bombers.
The airgroup attached to the carrier will cease but a B-24 has some range on it.

Thanks Andy for the answer.

I was wondering then, if the printed map that comes with game, is accurate in marking the true range of all landbased airpower?

That I don't know I use the map as a guide line but have seen aircraft where they not suppose to be.It would be great to know the location of the AB's one am certain of is there is the assention islands in mid altlantic and with the max range of aircraft in sh3 I think is 2000 miles. But saying that you can't stay out of range of aircraft all the time sooner or later they will jump on you especially 43 onwards.

Ok thanks. Guess I will try and avoid the aircraft up to 43 then find some way to deal with them at that point.
