DC corrupt test in options and messages in game...

Hello,

I have just reloaded DC after a long time onto my laptop. It used to work fine on my old XP desktop with ATI 9600 and XP. Now on my laptop I get corrupted test in menus such as options and in game messages, displays, etc. Test is either missing, overlapping other text or of center. Currently I have installed update 1.1 and PM 1.03. I tried search this forum but it seems at least currently the search function in the new forum only includes new posts. Any help appreciated!

Laptop:

Win Xp Pro sp2
1GB RAM
P IV
Nvidia FX GO 5200
