Default Indian Ocean

Anyone found a good hunting spot in the Indian Ocean? I've sat of the Bab el Mandab for two weeks with nothing but the odd UK aircraft.

I've had good luck along the southeast coast of Africa.

There's a bit of traffic (and more than a few planes) that I've seen between Sri Lanka and India, too.

So, all you saw were some Lysanders?

I don't get why even go hunting in the Indian Ocean...I mean, if you want to go to an extremity, go to the Carribean and hit the inter-island tanker convoys. And heck, if you really are going to operate in the Indian Ocean, raid Colombo Harbor or hit one of the South African ports...

Does anyone know if the Persian Gulf is modelled?

Speaking of the Indian Ocean, are there any maps that show the grids for the areas outside the of the game map? I was given a patrol grid of KP38 or PK38 or something along those lines, but I've no idea where those coordinates are.

Thanks in advance!

Cool. Never realised BdU actually could do that??!! Obviously the barebones structure is there ready for SH4 with the Far East grids already laid out!

Anyone here ever been to Soerabaja or Penang on Taifun patrol? I haven't. Is it nice?

Right now, I`m on my way to the Sri Lanka - India. Still near Madagascar ,though. There`s some traffic between Madagascar and Africa. Not much, but I`ve sank few lone merchants, 4000-7000 BRT.
So, perhaps I`ll visit Penang.
