Is it possible for the calendar in the office when you go there to begin your next patrol, update itself so you know what the date is before you get aboard your U-boat? Probably a stupid question.

Basically, no. The calendar reflects the current career date, and only increments as a result of upgrading components whilst in base. The actual patrol start date is not calculated (or perhaps more correctly not applied) until you load the patrol.
Although, there are scenarios where the date *will* reflect the next patrol start date, like where you have upgraded components that have extended your days in base beyond the default 28, 31 or whatever SH3Cmdr has (randomly) set. |

Okay, thanks very much. I just wondered if it could be.
While I have you two on post here, can you explain what the roll back actually does. I have nothing against it as I am using Commander, I just wondered what it does? |

When you launch SH3 via SH3Cmdr, SH3Cmdr adjusts SH3 game files (based on your settings and preferences) and copies files into SH3. In doing so, it backs up the originals for "safe keeping".
A rollback simply does the opposite - it removes the changes that SH3Cmdr has made and returns the backed up files to SH3. The end result being that SH3Cmdr leaves SH3 just how it originally found it. This is why it is so important to rollback SH3Cmdr PRIOR to making any other SH3 file changes (ie installing or removing mods or making file tweaks). |

Top right on the main career menu. There's a screenshot on page 8 of your game manual.

Again this of not on the topic of office calender, but on Commander. I saw somewhere is a post that you (JScones) are working on a newer version of SH3 Commander, is it ready yet?
