I haven`t been around for a while ,but been playing the game.I have a couple of questions. In the Scapa flow single mission what happened to the nw entrance by way of Kirk sound to the main ankorage. Can`t find it on the map and can`t locate it by sight.Seems pointless to try to get in any otherway.
Also how do I award medals to the crew.I am into the 5th mission with about 49,000 ton sunk and can`t award to many medals.Everytime I can do it,the game only allows about 2 awards, then cuts me off.It turns everybody blue that is able to receive something, but cuts me off after 2 awards. Now the whole crew is ------ at me! I don`t like this game ![]() ![]() TD |

you can only award the amount of medals your crew were awarded in the last patrol
If they were awarded 2 Iron Cross it will say 2 next to the pic of the cross on the left hand side once you have used those 2 you have to wait to earn some more during next patrol alternatively you can use sh3commander and give your greedy crew medals through that program ![]() |

I have the same trouble with I think the war patrol badge. Always saying the crew member I pick must complete a partol to recieve the badge. And the crewman just got back from a war patrol.

That is true for all the other awards. Except for the u-boat patrol war badge.

I made a post about what is considerd a completed war patrol by SH3 befor. Basicaly there are 3 things that must be completed to achieve this.
1.) Do your patrol grid for 24H 2.) Sink more than 25000 Tons on patrol 3.) Sail back to base Its all to do with the amount of renown. The 3 steps above achieve the correct amount. |

Every patrol I have sunk the tonnage needed, to earn myself medals enough to fill the folder, also I always stay in the ordered grid for at least 24 hr.The entire crew is highlited in blue also.Just as soon as I give out 2 front boat medals it shuts the medals off.I have given new qualifications and no problem with that.

You have to select the actual sailor first (when you select the medal, it will highlight the eligible recipients in blue), then drag the medal over to the sailor info, approximately where the medal will go. It will ask you if you're sure, just say yes.
EDIT: And you don't have to bring the boat right to the dock; just within a certain distance (I think it is 30km, but not sure). Me, I just hit Esc and "exit patrol" when I'm done. So I forfeit a little of the possible renown; so be it. |
