688i H/K is the past, DW is the present and future.
We should be pressuring SCS to fix whats wrong with DW not divert resources to fix an old game that while having a more or less cult following is on a dead evolutionary track. So I won't sign. |

April first is over I think, and this petition is over 7 years old now.
I stand with Goldorak here ... lets finish fixing DW instead of beating that old and near dead horse (yeah I know there are still some players who play it "regularly", but c'mon ... ) |

What kind of fixes do you think Sonalysts should make in a Patch 1.04???
Generally speaking, I'm very satisfied with my DW experience. There is only one minor thing I'd like to see fixed in it. But I don't see alot that needs to be fixed. What did you guys have in mind? :hmm: |

1) Pitch excursion on surfacing
2) The feedback code for enableing and preenabling ownship weapons and remote sensors is completely broken. This is why preenabled torpedoes can be heard by ownship as still pinging, why the UUV active sonar does not give data at all, and why the AI MH60 on the player FFG does not show up on ESW when REMRO mode is activated.

So do we know if they wereéare working on those last issue that you just mentionned in 1.04.
Is that one of their priority? Hopefully, because Link is really really important!! It has to work properly and not being a cheat |

Priorities for 1.04 should be:
Fixing Akula broadband cheat Fixing Kilo narrowband cheat Fixing COMPLETELY messed up depth control - ships are broaching far too often at PD, you cannot rely on the computer to take you from deep to PD without broaching. Also the computer planesmen allow the boat to go too deep which can result in exceeding safety depth. - Akula should no longer rise arse first. Also includes pitch control. Fixing rudder control - especially in subs - even the smallest of speed changes during course changes results in the submarine drastically oversteering, missing intended course. Those are some of the most important things that affect gameplay in a huge way. It's almost impossible to play the akula properly, in order to prevent the TA snapping at shallow depths you must go to engines flank to keep the speed from becoming negative. Not very good for stealth.. Other things that should be looked at but not as critical: Active ping issues ; pings sent out before the first one is finished result in submarines not being able to hear second ping, this can be used to determine range on contact without sub being able to determine its range from the pinger. |

Well, I don't think its quite as bad as that... especially your evaluation of the Akula... I don't really have big problems. Nothing says submarines should be easy to control like figher airplanes in sims with the physics turned off.
BTW, what's wrong with the Akula broadband, as I'm not sure the Beta testers are aware of this? :hmm:

I dunno if this needs to be fixed, or is a common problem in all naval games, considering I saw it happen with regularity in SH3 (not nearly as bad though).
Couldn't they fix the AI so that ships see where they are going? Last night I attempted the mission where the Sealion has to enter Auckland harbour because of crew illness...and though comical to see, there were two grounded cargo ships (trying to take a shortcut through land?), a trawler which commited fishycide against a supertanker (explosion on bearing 232 sir...etc) and a cruise liner stopping right in front of my intended path (bet the passengers were shocked). ![]() |
