Default I hate Changing Torpedoes

I really hate having to take the time to change the torpedoes for my VIIB. It is Sept 1942. Yes, I'm still running the VIIB, it's a great boat and I don't think I am going to change it. I am based out of St. Nazaire.

Does anyknow know how I can change whatever file to give me G7a all the time, instead of my having to take the time in changing them?

Thanks, do I have to be in base to install this program or can I be on patrol and install it?

To be safe I would wait until your in base. But once you do it thats it you wont have to do it every time you start a patrol. Only time you will need to make changes again is when you change Uboats.

Concur In base and while you modify your torps for you boat you can if you want set it as default all the way to 1945.
So if you die or end a career you will end up with what you modified the sub with.

Hey Rob,

Remember to Rollback SH3 Commander before making any changes with the tweak pack, or you will lose the changes when you launch SH3 Commander next time.

The manual option is to open the "basic" cfg file in the CFG folder and scroll down to the Type VII (about half way down.)
You will see each year and which torpedoes it has listed. By changing the numbers you can have any boat set up so when you start the game it will be exactly how you want it.
The good thing about doing it manually is you start to understand how things work and you can have more control.
Before you mod any file make a copy of it first and save it outside the game.
I actually make a copy of the entire data folder to be safe.

I once saw this in a post and made a copy of it but Year3=1942 does not look anything like this and kust to let you know, my VIIB is fully upgraded as far as I can upgraded it. The following is what I saw.
Year1=1940
ForeTube10=0 ;T1
ForeTube11=0
ForeTube12=0
ForeTube13=0
ForeResIntern10=0
ForeResIntern11=0
ForeResIntern12=0
ForeResIntern13=0
ForeResExtern10=0
ForeResExtra10=0
ForeResExtra11=0
AftTubes10=0
AftResIntern10=0
AftResExtern10=0
Z01_10=3 ; VIIB/1
M01_10=1
A01_10=8
SuperCharger_10=-1
Snorkel_10=-1
Batteries_10=1265
AftBatteries_10=1265
Hydrophone_10=1270
Sonar_10=-1
Radar_10=-1
RadarWarningReceiver_10=-1
Decoy_Launcher_10=-1
SonarCoatings_10=-1
RadarCoatings_10=-1
Renown1=2500

Now as I memtioned, my VIIB is FULLY upgraded as far as I could: After patrol 16 I upgraded the engine, hydrophone and batteries. After patrol 26 I upgraded to Anti-Sonar Coating. After patrol 29 I upgraded to AFA 33 Mal 800 Battery system to increase underwater distance, sonar decoys, and FUM0-29 radar. So I don't know what those things mentioned above should be if I make changes to Year1942 as it looks like this:

Year3=1942
ForeTube30=2;T2
ForeTube31=2
ForeTube32=2
ForeResIntern30=0
ForeResIntern31=0
Z01_30=0; IIA/1
A01_30=-1
SuperCharger_30=-1
Batteries_30=1263
Hydrophone_30=1270
Radar_30=-1
RadarWarningReceiver_30=-1
Decoy_Launcher_30=-1
SonarCoatings_30=-1
RadarCoatings_30=-1
Renown3=0

So, as you can see, I have no idea what to change and/or add additional infor which relate to my sub VIIB 'cause as you can see, there are only 3 foretubes here, therefore do I make it look like what the fore and aft tubes would be for my VIIB/1?

Hi Robert,

I think the bottom boat is a Type IIA, not a VIIB.

I have finished my patrol and I have backedup my SH3 career which is in 'My Documents', so I guess I am ready to install the Wolfie Tweak. I will do a rollback as you suggest. Can you explain what a roll back does?
