If I get sunk in a career, can I go back and load up a saved game from before I was sunk? This is my second career, the first, I wasn't able to reload and I really don't want to have to start from scratch again. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Thanks

yes ...... if you are saving you need to find a save such as : ( choose SAVE NAME ( whatever you named it )

" SAVE NAME "
" in base after mission "
"in base before mission "
" DEAD "

if that don't work... choose " in base BEFORE mission " and just start that certain mission over again

Yup, you can. I decided to give Loch Ewe a chance. Saved my game near Biscay then headed on up. I died thanks to shallow water and an extremely good/annoying destroyer in the harbour. I should have looked at the month first, May 1943! Not a good month for U-Boats, and certainly not one for my U-108. After dying I reloaded my saved game and I was back near Biscay.

Sure you can. Not sure why youl couldn't before.

There should be a saved game from each time you return to base after a patrol. Two, actually. One from when you get back. The other for when you are ready to leave again.

And many save games while on patrol. Just at certain points, like before attacking a convoy and stuff. You should be able to load those saves up as well.

There may be some bugs regarding Saved Games. Maybe someone with more knowledge about that can help you. Or try a search.

Good hunting!

Very strange you counldnt reload a saved game. If you die ingame you can go back to the career menu, choose load and select the save you want. right next to the saved game it should display "in mission" or something like that.

Cheers!

I've had this problem also only it was while returning to a game and not reloading after being KIAed . Seems like the saved file was corrupt. There is a thread dealing with this but don't ask me where to find it. In short it recommended Saving, Continuing then Saving and Exiting.
