Default Medieval 2: Total War

I was not aware until minutes ago that this title was under developement. Great pics: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/...ml?sid=6151217

I only hope that this time they spend a better job on the AI than they did with Rome. AI in rome was so much crippled that after some time it really stopped making fun to do battles in cities, at bridges, on walls. Medieval, however, I have played exessively.

Because it is under developement.

Because I was not aware that I have written so many reviews before: so far there only has been one (not counting the single forum topic on GTR).

Because YOU can spend the time writing it, too!

Armored assault coming later this year, too ("Flashpont 2"). And Flight Simulator 2006 (which may be of interest for me, since I am still using FS2002 and skipped FS2004)

1. I'll patiently wait till a few weeks after it's out...

2. What you've written tastes like more; and - just to irritate you - after you've written it, it will become "one of your appreciated reviews..."
:P
3. No I can not. I'm already on a secret assignent for Neal which takes my spare time...

4. I'll eagerly await your appreciated reviews of those games too...

Looks like it's going to be a resource monster.

I read somewhere that if you can run Rome: Total War and its expansion, you will be able to run M2:TW.

Can I volunteer to check this one out and write a review?

Seriously, I've been a fan of the TW series through and through; eagerly awaiting this one as MTW was easily my favorite as far as gameplay.

Medieval Total War was the best game in the total war series, I'm glad that they decided to make a sequel. Too bad that they decided to skip the 2d map in the new game, I liked it a lot.

Wait, wait, who says

I guess it won't be 2D, but it's not Total War without the strategic game mode! I think every TW fan will grab their axe and chop heads if CA even thinks of not including it

I too am looking forward to this game. Shogun was good, Medieval was great, and Rome was good. I still play MTW to this day.

I tried to get back into MTW after RTW - and I acknowledge it's a better game, but RTW graphics have just spoiled me. When I first saw a battle in RTW - and I got RTW rather late (about a year after it came out) - my jaw dropped to the floor and didn't come back up for two weeks. I admit to having been a sucker for graphics.

Medieval, though, sucked me in with pure gameplay goodness back in the day.

Yes, Rome's graphics are superb. If we could have the visuals of RTW with the gameplay of MTW, I would be very happy.

The 2d map will be replaced with a 3d map, similar to the one in Rome Total War. So dont wory, there will be a strategic game mode.
What I was saying was that I personaly prefer the 2d map.
