Hello guys,
just a quick question. I am wondering, is it possible to sink small ships with AAA guns in GW 1.1? Actually, I was able to sink a fishing boat with a single 20mm canon. It took about 600+ hits. So it sunk, but I am not sure if it was due to flooding (I did try to hit it below waterline most of the time) or due to exceeding HP value? Can a 20mm or 37mm shell penetrate the hull of a ship and cause flooding in GW mod? On my next mission, I was in IIA and hit a small merchant with my two last torpedoes. It refused to sink even though much of the ship was under water. So I emptied all my 20mm shells into the floating stern, but I guess I caused no flooding in this part of the ship at all. The merchant never went down. Any insights please? ![]() |

LOL. I am asking that just in case of emergency.
![]() You know, you got no more torpedoes, no more cannon shells, just those damn AAA peashooters... and a half flooded ship. Is it worth to spend time punching it with AAA, or should I head home since it is useless anyway. |

The Dual 37mm will sink up to small merchant (needs a few rounds tho). Anything smaller will sink quite well. As for the 20mm, you may as well spit on the target, they will sink faster due to flooding.
