How do you call it back once you've launched it out with the SpecOPS onboard?

Once it it away it carries out the assignment and then returns. All you can do it meet the launch criteria , no other control, the same with SEALS.

DSRV is broke... the only way for it to work is for the mission designer to script the whole dance.

DSRV has been broke for about five years now.
