I'm playing SHIII over a year and have yet to see a liner
Is there any time of year/region/particular year where they can be found? |

There is maybe a 10% chance of seeing one in the America-to-Britain convoys, 1940-1942. I've dropped a couple of them in my first 20 patrols, or so.
Much higher probability down towards Trinidad and the Caribbean, but they will be singles and moving p-r-e-t-t-y darn fast. In fact, you could probably find liners by how fast they are moving; any single that is moving "hauling ass" speed (20kts), that's libel to be one. |

Lone liners do happen, as I've posted in http://www.subsim.com/phpBB/viewtopi...ight=passenger.
I sank it on the 24 June 1944 in BE 62, S.S. Magarite (Passenger Liner), 24442 tons. ![]() |

If you are playing SH3 with GW then just go to...
Freetown and New York (best) and you have them there. |

FYI, user Uboat234 released a beta of an amazing liner. Check the mods section for a post named "news ship".

I saw a liner once SW of Ireland. A beautiful ship painted white with yellow funnels. She was sailing at 19 knots and she was out of torpedo range so I could only admire her from a distance.

Convoys leaving from Halifax have quite often Liner in the middle. Quite hard to get to them but they are there. All you need is IX boat and setup and ambush them in the deep waters. Ofcourse they are not always there, but that´s where I have seen most of them.
