Default Thanks but I'm living...

Quoting Jonz.

===========================================
That's what I don't like.

JC, While we appreciate your work to the community, I think it is wrong to think that reunificating the mods into one and label it to your own work will get the respect of the other moders and the community.

Let me be straight here. I've ran into an incident 2 days ago involving your mod with the integration of my JIRM in it. Some guy,I won't name anyone, PMed me and made harsh remarks about JIRM, claiming it doesn't work properlly etc etc. Well, I find out after talks he was using in fact your mod and he was referenced to me because my name was associated in your mod in the Sticky thread above.

Needless to say, it was very difficult to deal with this harsh guy and I had to download the mod to see what he was talking about and guide him to correct his mistakes.

Don't get me wrong, I like people using my mods incorporated with their mods, but these issues like the one I mentionned just unpleased me much that I felt like I should leave the modding community (haven't play SH3 for a month and taking a pause in the modding activities).

You SHOULD step back. In fact, nothing more harmful by keeping hammering community with questionnable mods. Ask yourself this: are my mods usefull? Is it going to benefits anyone or people will just skip it? Then if you really think you studied the question then give it a try.

Give some slack, it just a friendly opinion and advice I just wanted to share.

If anyone think I am wrong and too rude about this, you have my appologies...

JonZ

I am very sorry guys but i have to set stuff here as clear as mi English can afford...

I was always tolled that some one have to go as far as one can go, i
Went this far, and by this I’m proud of it, and also proud to be among
You guys and belonging to this forum as a member was in most times mi first thing done during the days, but…
… I didn’t came here to be insulted, by anyone or even to see people
Disturbed with mi staying and among all some were I think even “afraid”
Of mi presence.
I’ve been a Moderator in 3 Forums until today, been a Site Skinner for another forum related to games, been at forums since I’ve started to play any game at mi PC,
And never add this feeling of impotence because a guy started hunting mi works and posts all over a forum, until today that reached the Arrogance of stating this post at the Forum..

And I quote the funniest part!
“You SHOULD step back. In fact, nothing more harmful by keeping hammering community with questionnable mods. Ask yourself this: are my mods usefull? Is it going to benefits anyone or people will just skip it? Then if you really think you studied the question then give it a try. “

So I’m very sorry but I going from this forum as I am, someone who whanted to be and have been among you and very happy to…

I will come from time to time, and post as a member that I am, but modding just for me, no more posting mods or sharing them…

Here stays an advise for who already knows what this is all about.
The Fish dies by his owne mouth my friend…

See you all and thanks…

im a newb on this forum just having reinstalled SH3 after ~1year..
and thats exactly why i answer to this thread...

ATM all i want is playing SH3 customized to fit my "demands"...

i can do this either by installing all those mods and editing/varifying every single shared file or i can just download jcwolfs "compilations"...

i for one am very glad that jcwold spends his time to provide this "easy solution" and i think there are many more who dont have the time or stamina to do this themselves...

as far as ive seen jcwolf allways credits the artist/creator so no need to be "jealous".

anyway i think he should allways ask the artist/creator first before using his work.

btw:
i really like to thank all ppl contributing to this great community - nice to see what SH3 has become

Alright boys...

Things are getting out of hand.

I am sure that no-one meant any harm here... not JCWolf and not JonZ.

Lets just go slow here and not do anything rash that you may regret later.

I'm sure that JCWolf knows that he did a whole lot really fast. He will slow down a bit too. However, when is the last time anyone saw as much enthusiasm as JCWolf has brought to this forum? The only mistake he made was pouring too much coffee in the coffee cup.

I'm sure also that JonZ wasn't trying to hurt JCWolf's feelings. JonZ was only trying to point out that things were changing so quickly that it is hard to keep up with everything. The only mistake he made was maybe not trying to talk with JCWolf about it in private.

Both of you guys are skilled artists in your fields!

RELAX!!! Just think a bit more before you act.

I'm not sure this is wholly relevant to this discussion, but it may be. Here I go rambling on about my modmaking philosophy:

I think it's important to keep all modders working well together for the good of the community. That's why my philosophy has always been that mods truly belong to the community as a whole - not to the mod-maker alone. Also, when a mod combines many small mods, it's important to list the contributors. I've also found that it's a good practice to keep one's name out of the mod title. Finally, each modder's work should be clearly distinguished from that of another. This is the philosophy I used when building the team that made RUb so successful. We were all in it for the community and not for personal glory, so we shared all mods and the community benefitted greatly from the free access to all mods.

So here's my advice to all current modders:

1. Share your work with other mod-makers. By all means insist on getting a listing of credit for the mod, but let's not keep so tight a rein on our work that no one else can adopt a particular mod. If we all were to do the latter, this game would be a lot poorer for it. Sharing the wealth enhances a great mod's reputation, and makes the community so much richer.

2. If you build a mod, make sure it's unlikely to be confused with any other established mod. 'Real U-boat' and 'Improved U-boat' had this problem to a certain extent.

3. If you build a large-scale mod using bunches of smaller-scale mods from other folks, remember to credit them in the readme file.

Finally, it's important for the good of the community that no mod-maker gets alienated from other mod-makers, or from the community. We have a bunch of talented people working for our benefit. So let's try to keep people in the game.

Ok you two don't make us put you in the timeout room together until you hug and make up. :rotfl:

You both are a great benefit to the community.JCwolf with his enthuiasm for the modding and JonZ with his eye for detail with helping a person get their mod the best it can be even if it is a bit harsh at times. Also JonZ's skill at the mods he has made has added alot to the game.

It would be a shame to lose either one of you.

You two should listen to Beery..what he says is so true. This community has to work together and help each other.

Without the cooperation that this community has we would not have the mods like RUB.IUB,Grey Wolves,NYGM,etc. etc.

This modding community is one of the best I have seen for any game I have ever played because of the cooperation. They help each other and that in turn helps the game and the rest of the community.

I am prepared, to forget the all thing if he is...
But i'll certanly will not apologiese for defending mysellf agains that kind off acusations and words...

I'm a resenable guy, and most off all i have no bad feelings to anyone even when situations like this acours in life,
allways tryed to talk to peolple and show them with acts that i'm here and for bad or worst, i'm ready to give a hand to everyone in every possible way that i can...

Make yoursellfs a question , did i ever insulted anyones work or posts in here, no, and sometimes i see stuff and mods i mite dislike as well, but this is it, we do something that one can like and the guy next to you says it's imperfect and others say it's brilliante and others just don't like at all, but would it be nice for everyone if everybody here had the same skills and profession, ...Yeah it would be great but the reallity is this one...
...We've got people from all over the world that speak all kind of diferent languages, and work in diferent professions...
...So i understand a guy that comes here so very happy cause just made an intro screen, or a periscope, or a paint on a Sub skin, or what ever, it's not certanly a good idea to crack down his work one,
2,3,4,5 times and go after everything he does and then justifying by saying it's constructive critics...That mi friends where i come from it's called "Bull****e"....And excuse mi words...

...I mite have an all army of guys under mi command, and just learn how to speak and talk to them, and after come in here and say "yes i'm an Arrogante and so what!"...
...Listen , i know that is not a bad guy, and sometimes we all have a bad day, but, nobody in this place haves nothing to do with mi or his bad days, and temper and lack of common cense and actitude,
when i enter a place like this i have to think in advance that people mite like me and others don't...

...Hell i can live with that, what i will not defenetly tolerate is
This kind of situations and remaine at mi beautifull Logitech keeboard and simply don't reply to atitudes like this...

... I'm a friend of mi friend, i can give mi shirt if that helps someone, but sorry about this, i just didn't thought it would be good for me for you and for this forum to just live someone acting like this thru me, if it was to anybody else i would post the same and had the same reaction and reply...

...Each one of us haves his owne personality, i acepte his as long as he learns to acepte mine, there is a line surronding everyone that acts like a border, if you cross that line without the owners
autorisation you can be "attacked without warning"...Call it Indian territory...But this is the way life is and how it works on our day by day gentleman...

Finnaly i have to apolagiese to all in this place for this all situation, as i know it wasn't provoqued by me i also understand that someone can see it a diferent way and think that i'm the cause of all of this, for those ones mi humbel excuses and apologies...

I hope this states mi thoughts and closes this all international event...

Thanks mate, but i think it was those mods that provoqued this in the first place...
you now the funiest part... I've started making this mods for Gw cause, i saw someone posting that whanted Integrated orders, and i've launched GW+IO, the i was playing and saw that the 3 nain dials were so small that i realised if i that can see very whell add dificulties to see them then a guy with vision problems would add the triple difict. so i made the merging of Simfeeling dials to...
and so on , the only mod i've made cause i whanted to mysellf was the No_tooltips mod....

For me it's forgoten...

But surelly it's nice to ear that from someone bro...Many thanks Sober!

I don't really understand the problem. JC I like and appriciate your work. I couldn't get Jonz's manual to work with the slide out mod and GW until your latest fix.

Im not skilled with computers and I screw up the menu 1064_768 ini file everytime I touch it.

A mod is no good unless I can use it, and I really appriciate someone who can merge them and make them work. That is why I like the supermods, but when something new comes along I usually can't incorporate it unless it is a simple addon using JSGME.

It seams to me the the real idiot in this is the fool who complained to Jonz because he didn't have the skill or understanding to use his mods correctly. When I can't get a mod to work I just wait until someone who has the expertize to merge it with the supermods comes along. I don't complain to the creator of the mod that it is no good.

By the way JC, your English is a hell of a lot better than my Spanish
