Does anyone play SH3 under Windows Me without problems. I haven't played this game for months now but decided to give it another try with the 1.4 patch. Unfortunately I'm still getting the same problem which makes the game unplayable.
Auto-saves, before and after patrols are fine. But any save made during a patrol just won't reload. I can see them in the list, but I just get get an "error while loading the saved game" message. The name I saved it under is odd as well. All I can see is most of the path to the saved game folder. I've seen that other people get the same problem, but I've never seen a fix for it. I've tried the "cut & paste to desktop and copy back again" fix, but no joy. My other, relatively small annoyance is a very jerky mouse pointer. I was so looking forward to this game. I used to spend hours playing Silent Service II on my old Amiga. I always thought it would have been better set in the Atlantic. What a shame Sid Meier hasn't get round to SS III. Thanks |
