Default Rub or Tonnage?

I started with RUb. Now starting a campaign with NYGM Tonnage war.

In Rub you cant zoom on a ship. In NYGM you can.

To play NYGM I down loaded several mods to help ... like "All Grey contacts version 1.1" This helped. But I can still zoom on the 'F5' key the ship. I don't like this 'Zoom' thing. But I would like to play the best and realistic campaign I can.

Has anyone installed both?
Like say install Rub then NYGM overwrite?
Or Install NYGM and have Rub overwrite?

I'm thinking of this lol!

Cheers!

You may be interested in the following comment by Montbrun in a separate thread regarding NYGM:

Montbrun wrote: No problem. My JSGME MOD add-ons look like this:

GW v1.00
Tonnage War Mod v1.03
Tonnage War Mod v1.03 Terrain Add-In
Extended Unified Campaign
CA Officer Icons
Fubar Crew
IuB v1.03 NavMap Contact (Tails)

I didn't like not having map updates with NYGM, so I experimented until I found that the optional IuB NavMap Contacts (Tails) works, at least for me.

It's in the "Optional" MODs that come with IuB 1.03 - you have to download that package to get it.

Montbrun answered while I was researching this, however my experience from last year with SH3 mods is that the IuB 1.03 NavMap Contact no tails no dash modification is simply a matter of a file replacement for a couple of .tga files. I could be wrong about this, however I have posted in the IuB thread today asking JonZ if we can have these few files {if indeed it is}, as opposed to downloading the entire 350MB compressed files.

Also, if MontBrun has as a mod folder selection the no tails no dash folder, we might be able to bribe him into sending us that file folder by email, as it most certainly contains only the relevant files which need changed.

Thanks!

Edit: IuB seems to offer also two other options for this, as mentioned in this post below:

JonZ in the mods file you have "NavMap Contact-no tails" & "NavMap Contact-no tails-NoDash" but how do you keep the tails?

I need them! lol

Is it possible that I forgot the Tail Only modifier? I can't remember

Fear not. Here's your option you need:
