Default Wolf Pack League Has started!!!!

Hello all,

Just a FYI that the WPL has started as of yesterday, right now we have 32 boats that are taking part. Still room for anyone that would like to join in.

Requirments are few. There is a small d/l that allows everyone to play the same map. The D/L also backs up your default files. Right now we are only playing with 1.4b patch and SH3 commander. Everyone plays the campaign and once a convoy is sighted the contact sub informs BDU via forums. A multiplayer game is made a wolfpack is formed with subs within range, and sent to commanding sub and it is played online.

I know that most of you love the Rub or GW mods, but we could sure use some extra players. Make a 2nd copy of SH 3 and come play.

link is below. Contact Hornet. Come check it out!!
Thanks all ,hope to seeya soon.

Hello all,

Couple of tid bits you may find intriging as far as the campaign that WPL is playing with:
1. Over 160 convoys are in the campaign from Sept 1st 1939 to the end of 1940.
2. Aircraft are all scripped to "elite", even early in the war.
3. Later in the war there are bombing raids on the subpens, During our startup meeting Hornet said once you start always look up.
4. Realism settings are done fairly you can play at 100% for the expert player down to around 60% or so for the new player out there. About 4-5 settings are "optional" all others are checked.

For more info check out the website and talk with Hornet, I'm sure there are more surprises in store.........

One last comment on the realism settings, There could be some of you out there that may think that someone playing at 100% would be at a disavantage against someone playing at a lower level. As for me I started playing around 35 - 40% I'm up to 74% now and I am sinking more ships at 74% than I did at the lower settings. It depends on your skill and how lucky you are in finding contacts.
Bottom line ...it all washes out.

Yes you can. Whatever war date we are at ,is where you would start. Right now we have 2 waves. first wave launched yesterday. 2nd wave will launch in 1-2 weeks. Also we are playing 1 war day for 1 real day. However that will increase to 2 to 1 soon. So you have some time. If you get your computer fixed quick enough you may be able to join the 2nd wave.

seeya soon

Don't forget to mention the scripted campain that allow the BDU to organize wolfpack attack during the campain!

If you actually see a convoy the 23 july at 6:00 in grid BE53, it's gonna be the same for every u-boat. This allow the BDU to organize wolfpack depending on your position!

Check the forum for more info

Default luck

32 boats is fine. Donitz only started with 30 anyway. You are right on the realistic track then.

Best wishes to all captains. I wish I could play, but have no room for a second copy of the game and am involved in GW mod fully.

The war lasted six years, so I still have time. I hope my computer lasts that long !

Sorry if this is incredibly stupid of me: but two copies? You mean, you need two installations, two CD keys, etc.?

No... 2 installs .There is a thread on this forum that details how to do it. You just name the 2nd install something differant so it does not install over your first one. Ex> C:programs/SH3 greywolves.. or whatever you want to call it. But check out the thread, it tells you how step by step.

To get a taste of what the first wave is doing go to the url listed above and go to the forums you can read some of the radio reports that some of the subs are sending in. Cool stuff

Hello all,

Elements of the first attack wave are starting to return to port. I expect the 2nd wave to launch soon. For those of you interested , it could be a good time to jump in.

Just a FYI

Check out the link in earlier post for more details.
