Default SH4?

Easy as pie.

1. Take SH3.
2. Check out what Teh Modders did.
3. Update graphics.
4. Repack.
5. Profit ?

I mean, out-of-box SH3 with patch 1.4b is kinda OK, not a bad sim.
But them mods really gives it the WOW-effect.

Just like Vista should be called XP SP3.

:lollers:

Yes, im gettin into teh hype.

1. Give the dev' team all the time they need to implement everything they want, and have them check the wish-list thread and mods for inspiration.

Simple as that.

I wouldn't rush to give up on the mod team. The fact that they got SHIII at least a good part of the way to where it ought to be, and did a lot of things right speaks volumes about their ability to make a good game.

If they have time to finish it, I've no doubt they will, or at least get closer to doing so.
