Default My SH3 is fixed................

In past several days, I was complaining that my SH3 ran slow with G.W. Well, I discovered the true culprit. Before I installed G.W., I installed NYGN Tonnage War mod. I just unstall my Sh3 and started fresh with G.W. I ran my SH3 again and no problems. I even ran a Type 7 at stardard speed and move up and back down on the ladder to the control room and the conning tower. I was also on the bridge twice. There were no jerky motions out from the crew. Yes. I was have G.W.'s sea floor and it works.

I am very wary to try the G.W./NYGM Tonnage War merger mod because the slowdown issues.

I had a strange problem in harbours or near land with it running at 1fps. THough it was a fresh install.

I run most the mods included in GW now anyway. Plus some extras. Im also running at even higher detail than GW default and still dont have any probs. Not sure what caused my probs with GW.

The slow frame rate in harbors and near land in GW can be fixed by installing the stock SH3 seafloor or, Tankeriv's seafloor mod for 64MB cards available at Terrapin's site.

Nope it wasnt that. Im running the the high res sea floor now. I run most the mods in GW anyway and then some.

It seems it could be sounds causing the slowdown. When I installed Incognito's soundpack i get the same slowdown.

Id have to remove all my mods again just to try the theory though.

Hello,
do you by any chance use an onboard sound system (on mainboard that is lol), in some graphical demanding games the onboard sound system like AC'97 causes stuttering, while it works well as soon you have any soundcard installed that takes away the workload from the processor - just guessing though.
Greetings,
Catfish

Yah thats what I decided it was. I recently upgraded from an nforce2 board with wonderful soundstorm built in. Unfortunately now i need a new soundcard for this board. I tend to forget about it. Might see if i have a spare SBLive laying around for now and see if that helps a little.
