Awards in career mode

I was testing the sound settings in career mode when I discovered something wierd.

I was starting a patrol, checking the sound effects ect. the exiting...I did this 5 times, 5 patrols, never left the pier...

After exiting, I checked my logs and awards and crew, just to see the effects.

It turns out I recieved 3 medals.

....never having left the pier in 5 patrols

Also, it seems that crewmen earn experience from being on the boat..even though they don't leave the pier..

I have the vanilla version of SHIII, SHIII commander and a few damage mods and sound mods...

Do I need RuB to fix this behavior?
