Default Extra torpedos... extra for what?

What is the difference between normal stored torpedos and 'extra' ones?

Do their load time is different? affecting efficiency?

Never noticed the differences by now.

and plez don't answer me 'by the color'

Not extra, external. The type VII and IX carry a few torpedoes on the outside of the boat. They have to be pulled out of the watertight storage containers and moved inside the boat. It takes a lot longer. You have to be surfaced, have an empty interal reserve slot available, and drag the torpedo from the external slot to the internal slot. With realistic load times on, it takes about an hour to move one torp inside. The best I've been able to do is about 40 minutes, if you can get a full efficiency torpedo compartment.

I think he's talking about the red boxed internal extras, not the external extras.

I've often wondered the same thing, but haven't a clue.

The extra torpedos were stored on the floor of the torpedo compartment and were the the first used during reload to get them out of the way.

Ok, so they load faster?

No, at least not in SH3.

Is that an extra torpedo in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?
