Default Land attack Load out for p3 ?

i was trying to write a mission where presumably the p3 are the only available planes, so a squad of em attack a well guarded chem wep plant and sonalysts studio HQ, some barracks warehouse etc..
I have the auto detect off, so we have to actually close in get em on radar esm visual. basically detect and destroy most of the 12 sam sites before going in to get close enough to detect actual targets.

I can fire up to 8 slams/mavericks - but the ai only ever seems to use 4 agm
i also have a host of stuff in the bomb bay that i cant seem to use at all on land targets. i ended up having to remove a few sam sites to make sure we had enough ordnance. this made the mission kinda lame...

if i set up a carrier - i think i can return to base and reload
but i really havent figured out how to
and it is not what i want to do ...
so
what am i missing ?
do i have to use a certain loadout in the mission design to give the ai more land attack missiles ?
am using "strike" but had to customize my load out anyway..

i couldnt manage to make the mines explode near a building
some bombs would be nice
how do i load a few ?

If they are the only available planes for this type of task, somebody screwed up big time.

That said, I can think of the possibility of spawning something that triggers a mine when said mine land in a trigger area on the target. Thereby blowing up everything in the area.

I know somebody has landed them manually on carriers, but this should be considered a bug. They aren't supposed to be landable at anything less than an airfield.

hehee yep. they are the only available planes that i can drive.

it was kinda fun to be able to use the game in a non asw / non maritime mission.

thanks for the ideas.
the mine trick seems best for what im trying to do.

Landing can be even easier, with slow airplane and good wind.
Doolittles did not land because they did not have fuel to return.

The fact that he didn't have a tailhook didn't help either.

You don't need a hook to land on a flat top.

Yeah, that C-130 came to mind when talking bout landing Props on a Carrier. Anybody took a look at the TakeOff Movie? Lift Off with some space to spare ...

In DW you can definitly land on a Carrier with a P-3, Smuook tried that way back - successfully. As for TakeOff ... no clue, but my guess would be it won't work - maybe someone wants to test that

With strong wind and fast carrier, empty weight-optmized B25 should have no troube at all.

so i guess thats a no to the possibility of anything in the bomb bay but the default stuff ?

is there a list somewhere of what the various programmable "loadouts"
in the editor load on to ai platforms ? using strike on ownship didnt seem to matter, it went with whatever i had loaded out in the previous mission.

ie
P3
asw = x acoustic torps , x sonobuoys
strike = x land attack missiles
