Default Stationary Cargo Ships

I hate these damn ships...

So far every career that I've taken part on the first or second patrol I encounter a lone stationary Small Merchant or C2 Cargo ship. Everytime I've gone to sink such a ship it's refused to go down. I started a career in 1939 in the 7th Flolitta, on my first patrol I intercepted a lone C2 Cargo ship that I had recieved a radio contact on my nav map. When I came within visual range it was stationary. I put one torpedo set on impact right into it underneath the stack. The stern sagged, but it still sat afloat. Even after surfacing the ship didn't move and I began to shell it. I put a good 30-40 shells into it without much effect...

Cutting to the chase I basically put 5 torpedos plus a good amount of shells into the water line which did little to change it's sitting in the water after the first torpedo impact.

Anybody else encounter this? A known bug?

C2's are famous for being tough to go down. Its not unheard of for five torps to not sink her, and it takes like a million deck gun shells to have any effect on them. They're just tough ships, have patience! Try aiming a torp for the fuel tank just forward of the engine room underneath the smoke stack, hit it right it can go down with one shot! Or try mag torps for underneath the keel, one forward and one aft.

I have made the choice to avoid C2s like the plaque recently. Not enough tonnage to justify 4 or 5 torps.

Last night I came across a convoy loaded with them. I sank the T2 that was in the second row and then got out of there.

I came across a stationary Liberty ship little bit of Brest, it was 42 the weather was fine, first it had speed of 1 knot but eventually stopped altogether. Didnt try to sink it, but quit the career, hope its not a permanent bug.
