Default Credit for sinkings

On my 3rd patrol. Driving my little IIa.

Problem is: with only 5 torpedoes I am finding it hard to sink more than one ship per patrol.

I usually salvo two per target. Seems to work the first time. But for some strange reason, I cannot sink a second vessel... :hmm:

I ask this because on my last patrol, I fired two torpedoes into a C2, One hit amidships and he started to list....Fired again, hit him towards the stern....he still did not go down. I was out of torpedoes at this time. I was so frustrated I fired my 20mm FLaK at him :rotfl: needless to say, I did not damage him with that!

Anyway, I was wondering if he did eventually go down, would I get credit when I arrived in port? I did not see him sink though :hmm:
