Default SH3 Commander randomising capability and multiplayer hope?

It seems that apart from the few really hardcoded issues, almost anything can be done concerning ones gameplay with SH3.

I was just wondering if with the help of SH3 commander, a randomised treasure/wolfpack hunt could be created for multiplayer.

When I say randomised treasure hunt, I am meaning one special ship, done up to top notch i.e. the most valuable ship during WW2 or just a made up one.

A modeler create it,

A modder add it in multiple campaign or mission duplicated files at different points and different times,

Can SH3 commander then randomise the campaign or scenario folders so no one knows which one had been loaded into the game hence not knowing the time or start point for the ship or sub start point?

I am thinking more in the lines of multiplayer missions within small areas for shipping lanes, i.e. random start point, random shipping, and random enemy vessels (True wolfpack)

All I need to know is whether sh3 commander could organise and activate random mission or campaign files for use in multiplayer games or single player?

I am suspecting this is either a hardcoded incompatibility or just never been thought about before.

I am sure multiplayer can be livened up with all the new knowledge achieved.

Just how is the big question?

Sry for think aloud

Im off to bed now as stayed up for 29 hours on stupid assignment so that’s my excuse for being a space cadet.

SH3Cmdr could support such a concept now - it would just need a modder to make it happen.

I guess the problem would be version control of the multitude of different mission/campaign files that are currently out there.

I don’t know much about multiplayer servers so am a little blind as to what control the server handler would have.

I am just getting a twitch that this may and I just say may open new ground.

With the new uber mods appearing, it may be a case that more people will stay within one control mod for the benefit of new multiplayer options i.e. joining better games and being surprised each time.

Your tool is the key to a multitude of extra features that could be added to missions and campaigns.

For example,

Going back to the DD effectiveness,

If randomised, you can add spice to the supposedly predictable DD and their skills, damage and precision and maybe just maybe have the occasional campaign file full of lethal DDs and little else.

It’s just a question of whether multiplayer can take those changes and load all players files simultaneously or collapse under compatibility issues.

Single player could be done and maybe down the line, we will start seeing random exansion packs added to the major mods to form a middle ground between the hardcore and casual players cos they don’t know what they have.

Anyways here hoping for the future. When I return in a few weeks, I will look into it for damage, DD and other issues.

I would just like to ask what other people think would be good if it were randomised?

Chaos Theory is here now

I had similar ideas after seeing Hemisent's Thermal Layers Mod...

The possibilities are endless...
