No function in the game, shame it would make it more interesting if the Allies dropped in from time to time on an air raid. But their is a downside one well placed bomb on your U-Boat.

Just a thought have seen AA emplacments in the editor and thought they were part of them but looking again in the editor they are either 20mm,3inch,or 1 other whuch i can't remember. but I will try to remember this when am in 1945 next, only AA firepower available is either on the ships in harbor or on the U-boat.
thabks for your answer gentlemen.

Dock in the U-Boat pen. No downside.

I had a 1944 mission out of Bergen a short while ago where an aerial armada of B-24s swept just as I was leaving the breakwater behind. Closest thing I've seen yet to being bombed while still in port.

I wish now that I had taken better screenshots of my uboat and a U-flak that were attacked by twelve B-24's after leaving St. Nazair

It was one of my scariest moments in SH3.

The poor U-flak hammered away but only bought me enough time to dive away.

The U-Flak was sunk.

How did you get the U-flak to escort you? Was this on a campaing or a stand alone mission?

Irea somewhere in one of the forums that they suppose to be bomb proof? but not weather proof, and my watch officer can see right through then thick concrete walls and spot ships and aircraft,I don't trust this game one bit.
Am fairly certain I can shoot down a plane while am in a sub pen,if my WOcan spot ships and planes through solid concrete am sure I can shoot a plane down but am not going to sit around and find out
at the mo am in 41 but when I get back into 45 I might have a go.

How about the gun batteries in the harbors of the enemy, like in Scapa Flow? Will they shoot at you if you're spotted at the surface sneaking in? Been to chicken to find out.

I don't know if they'll shoot at you or not. I'm chicken too.

I was recently returning to Wilhelmshaven and saw smoke columns over the city in the distance. Then I saw a flash of light. As I got closer I could see several sunken ships.

I could only assume I'd just missed an air raid.
